24/08/2025 U12 Boys Go Games

Our Gold Team played Currow in Ballymac in Round 3 of the Castleisland District u 12 s Go Games.

Our boys played against the wind in the first half, and defended well to keep Currow at bay on several occasions. Daniel Maher , Sean Ireland and mikey Brosnan were outstanding in this period.
Shane o Connell & Conor Mangan got a grip on midfield and this gave us a platform to give a decent supply to our inside forwards.

Jayden Roche with a great individual point reduced the deficit down to 4 points at the break.
Ballymac had several opportunities to push on but our efforts were slightly wide of the Target .
Sean Culloty Rian o Connor , Jack o Connell and Sam leen worked tirelessly to deny Currow again and again.

Scott Fitzmaurice,Dara Fealy Gearoid Jones & Kyle o Sullivan gave it their all to try and put us ahead , but Currow denied us several goal opportunities.
Special mention must go to Louis Barry on pulling off 3 point blank saves , at crucial times in the game.
Our boys were unlucky not to get a result but can be so proud of a great team performance, which prepares us well for the upcoming Tralee / ST Brendan’s league .

Our Blue Team travelled to Brosna to take on the locals in Round 2 of the Castleisland District League go games.

Our boys got off to a great start and never looked like they were in danger right to the end .
Diarmuid & Liam stack along with Ryan Kelliher and Cuan maguire excelled in defence,.
Cuan Maguire & Dara Fealy dominated the middle third, linking up well with the forwards.
Ross Sugrue , Kyle o Sullivan, Sam leen , jason mc Donnell & Timmy Sheahen contributing handsomely to get a deserved result away from Home .
Isaac lynch was heroic in goals and has the potential to become a formidable goalkeeper for many years ahead .

Thanks to all parents for supporting all the players in both games.
Thanks to Currow and Brosna for two fine sporting games.
