Our U14 played Churchill in the 2nd round of Central Region Div3 on an overcast evening in Ballymac.
It was the away side that hit the ground running and took an early lead. They dominated the first half and led at the break 0-4 to 3-6.
However, our boys showed great improvement in the 2nd half, and we began to play as a team and started to believe in ourselves even if we had a few boys out through injury and away on holidays. We had a goal disallowed and hit the crossbar on two occasions.
Final score Ballymac 2-8 Churchill 4-7. Credit to our u12s who turned up for the last 20 minutes after their own game.
