06/09/2025 U12 Eric Mason Blitz
Our u 12 Boys participated in the Eric mason Blitz on Saturday 6th September at the main pitch in Ballymac.
In our Group was Duagh , Scartaglin & Na Gaeil.
We competed well in all 3 games, but our score taking up front was a little off target and this caused us to loose 2 games narrowly.
However in the semi final of the shield against John Mitchell’s our boys gave a wonderful team performance , and this result put us in the final against Duagh .
In an epic final, our boys were outstanding once again, Sean Ireland and Mikey Brosnan were excellent in defence, Jayden Roche scored a superb goal to put us in the driving seat .However Duagh responded well to go into a one point lead but Scott Fitzmaurice with the last kick of the game scored a wonderful point to send the game to extra time.
It was frantic stuff in extra time, Louis Barry pulling off two outstanding saves and Scott Fitzmaurice scored 3 outstanding points against the wind to put us in the driving seat once again. Duagh scored a late goal, but our boys were victorious by 2 points.
Louis Barry was outstanding in goals , Sean Ireland, Daniel Maher, Mikey Brosnan , and Jack O Connell were brilliant in defence.
Shane o Connell & Conor Mangan excelled in midfield. Up front , Jacob short , Dara Fealy , Scott Fitzmaurice, and Kyle o Sullivan all played well.
Sam leen , Rian o Connor, Callum Walshe & Ryan Kelliher were also part of the panel .
Mikey Brosnan accepted the shield on behalf of the Team .
