We played the second phase of the hugely enjoyable super 9s blitz format away in Duagh. We had two games first up was to Moyvane and from the start we had control of the game. From the 12 players who all got game time 7 of the girls got on the score sheet. Which really reflects the team performance that was witnessed. Our mid field pairing of Jamie-lee and Anna controlled the centre with 1:7 between them but it was Méabh o Connell who took her scores so well that stood out. But the mention of the game goes to Andrea Geer who stood into goals for us in the second half she was cool and calm to lead us to a great win of 2:16 to 2:3
Our second game was up against a spirited Duagh. This game was much more evenly matched up until the end when our fitness and experience stood to us. With Tara Slattery putting in a great game in defence connecting well with scorer of the match Michelle o Connor with 4:3 we were always confident. Credit also goes to the mighty Tuner sisters Katie and Natlie who always back bone our team. Our 2 under 14 players Eva Burke and Meabh o Conell really showed up with their energy and boundless running to both get on the score board in both games. We won out on a score line of 5:121 to 5:5
All in all we put in another great shift with a tremendous team performance
